About Synthly

What Synthly is

Synthly is a plain-language reference to the synthesizers that shaped electronic music. Each profile explains what a machine is, how its synthesis engine works, the sound it is known for, and the artists who used it.

Why the name

A synth is short for synthesizer — and to synthly (synthesize + succinctly) is our aim: to take a technical instrument and explain it in a short, clear, human way.

How we write

Every profile is written in a neutral, factual tone from widely available historical and technical references. Synthly is strictly educational: we name real instruments, artists, and recordings factually, but we never publish buying advice, prices, “best” rankings, or invented sales figures, and we do not endorse specific brands.

What we are not

Synthly is general reference material. It is not a shop, a price guide, or professional purchasing advice.

Who we are

Synthly is produced by the Synthly editorial desk, a small team focused on clear, accurate synthesizer history for everyday readers.
